Themes, resolutions and goals.

Hi everyone,

I’ve heard different themes set by various religious organizations and individuals to express what this year has in stock for them. Lots of people usually start every year with so much optimism and enthusiasm. If I may ask, what happens to this optimism and enthusiasm by the middle of the year? Why does it seem that life returns back to “status-quo”? There is one question you must answer before you set out to start achieving your goals for this year. Failure to answer that question will result in lack of motivation and failure to follow the plan.
Take a piece of paper and answer this question in writing:

=> WHY do you want to achieve your goal?

No, not just because "I want to". There are reasons behind your
Dreams, goals and aspirations.

If you can succeed in answering this question with enough reasons to back it up, I’m sure you won’t have any reason to go weary in the middle of the road. I also would like to say that the depth of this reason would determine the level of sacrifice you would be willing to pay along the way.

For example, why would you want to lose weight this year?

* To look good
* To feel good about yourself
* To fit in your favorite dress
* To impress your spouse
* ..................................

For someone who wants to loose weight, part of the price she has to pay is to stay away from junks no matter how delicious it might look or smell. The only thing that would keep her going is the thought of the benefits of looking fit.
I’ll personally advise that you list every single reason why you want to achieve that which you have proposed to do and try to imagine all the benefits.

The truth is the longer the list, the stronger your motivation
would become.

Read your reasons first thing in the morning. Better still,
Frame them and hang them on the wall. It will keep you focused and
motivated. You cannot afford to give up. Life is like a trumpet, put nothing in, nothing comes out. I think that we, human beings, are the most funny creatures on earth. We all have big dreams and wishes, but something seems to
stop us from achieving them. (And amazingly this 'something' is us).
But there's a little trick you can use to finally get started, and also to stay on track until the goal is
accomplished... I'll tell you in a couple of days, but before then, Always aspire to STAY INSPIRED!

Do you believe?

Hello,
Nigeria is currently in a selling phase, I’ll implore you to stay around and buy a portion of Nigeria, as the prices will be going up in the near future. Sounds like a joke, right?
I'm sure you are wondering how? Don't worry; I'll not leave you wondering for long. Nigeria is being sold, this is the initial public offer, the wise are buying now, fools are making excuses and the ignorant don't even know what is going on around them. Reading this here already places you ahead of many, but you'll only stay ahead not when you know, but when you take action based on what you know. It’s no longer a wish, it is fast becoming our reality. A dream is only a wishful thinking when no commensurate action is taken for the actualization of such. I can categorically say that it’s the dawn of a new day in the history of Nigeria and we (Nigerians) have decided unanimously that the development of our Nation lies in our own hands and not just the Government as we have being made to believe in time past. We all know that anybody with little or no wisdom can complain and also condemn an initiative but it only takes a person of a high intellectual capacity to proffer a solution to a stemming problem.

While it is true that by 2025, Nigeria undoubtedly would have become one of the most desirable nations to live in on earth, this is even more realistic with the strategic action plans which are currently being executed. I look at the Asian tigers-talking about a country like Malaysia and South Korea, I realize they have being able to come this far the day they realized enough was enough! Those were nations that had nothing compared to Nigeria, this has really strengthened my resolve and made me to believe that this beautiful, blessed, talented and prosperous nation is set to fly.
The Green-White-Green revolution has just begun and its ravaging fast, the fire is in the heart of thousands of Nigerians. This bug is very contagious and addictive. No wonder Margaret Mead once said that “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world, indeed, it’s the only thing that has ever done so”. A bloodless revolution has just started. A revolution need not come with confrontation but rather it begins with the mind of an individual. This led to the formation of a club that would give us all a singular voice. Without adding much ado to nothing, I’ll like to introduce the New Nigeria Club to everyone. This budding club was launched on the 1st of January, 2008 (bet you’d seen it on TV & the papers). The objective of the NNC is to create a positive image for Nigeria and Nigerians while playing our part in placating the woes of poverty in Nigeria. Our overall aim is to be a voice and an arm in the building of the Nigeria of our dream. Our concept is to use a popular theme amongst the youth of Nigeria to create a momentum for a course that will outlive us all.

The benefits that members of the New Nigeria Club stand to gain are really much. In the words of the Club managers, it’s a Win-Win proposition. Some of the benefits are:

1) Nation Building: For me personally, this is more important than the financial rewards that are in the club. This is a way of building a virile and secured society for our children and children’s children. The project of building a new 9ja is beyond the government! Interestingly, the theme and song on the lips of the Government of the day is building a New Nigeria. You have just added your vote and lent your support towards nation building by being a member of the club. It’s a clarion call, please stand up and being counted.

2) Status: The core principles of the New Nigeria Club are that of discipline, integrity, honesty, faithfulness, loyalty, fairness and equity. We see a situation where members get outside the shores of the country and they are accorded due respect because of what NNC stands for. We want to stand up tall to stick out our neck for these values and uphold it and let the international community know that Nigerians are good people. There is a new 9ja ID card that is given to all members that has an ATM chip at the back which you can use to purchase goods at POS (point of sale) terminals. Some Banks and other organizations have also consented to start accepting the new 9ja ID cards as a form of identification.

3) Opportunities: We have also created opportunities for all members of the NNC. Apart from the opportunities of social networking and rubbing minds with positive Nigerians. NNC members are not ordinary citizens and they should therefore enjoy some other privileges that “ordinary” citizens cannot access. This privilege is what we call “deals” in NNC. What is a deal? A deal simply means discount on goods and services you usually enjoy as a regular citizen. Sounds unbelievable, right? You haven’t seen nothing yet ……………………

• Starcomms deal, Silverbird galleria, Numetro cinemas, Shopping malls, Virgin Nigeria, Sweet sensation, Ava bookmart, health insurance, TM lewin stores, New 9ja city (plots of land) and a whole lots of other things to come at discounted prices.

4) Financial reward (optional): This program also has a reward system that rewards any one who is willing to take a step further by introducing at least two people into the club. A total sum of seven hundred thousand naira (N700,000)would be earned across the boards for anyone who is able to build a virile network using a 2x2 network marketing matrix.
NOTE: This program is optional and has nothing to do with the aforementioned benefits.
This was included to actually encourage young Nigerians and also to let them know that it’s possible to make money by doing what is right especially those of them who believe they can’t make money except through fraud.

5) Charity: The club has made it her social responsibility to put smiles on the faces of hopeless and the less privileged people in our society. Part of the funds being generated by this club is being channeled towards helping the motherless babies, those in the remand homes and special children. You have also extended an helping hand to these people by being part of the New Nigeria Club.

FINAL NOTE: We will like to bring to everyone’ notice that the NNC is NOT an INVESTMENT CLUB. Anyone promoting it as one would be blacklisted. One outstanding thing has being our take off and the way and manner Government and private institutions have being supporting this initiative. We implore you to help us sustain this reputation.

Conclusion
Registration can be done online. You can only join through an already signed up member (referral system). You will need to purchase a registration PIN for thirty thousand naira only (N30, 000) to log in to your homepage and enjoy all the benefits that comes with membership. You can also log on www.newnigeriaclub.net/newvision2 for more details.

I’ll love to know what you think about the New Nigeria Club, please feel free to post your comment here or send me a mail at sholaakinyemi@gmail.com.

LET US JOIN HANDS TOGETHER TO BUILD A GREAT NATION, LET US BUILD A NIGERIA WE WILL ALL BELIEVE IN AND LIVE IN AND NOT A NIGERIA WE WILL ALL BE LEAVING.

I BELIEVE, DO YOU?

Have a great day and always aspire to STAY INSPIRED!

.....before you complain.

The more you complain, the less you obtain. We must always see the positive side of life rather than its negativity. When you see its negativity, it attracts negative people to you and negative situations. Complaining only worsens your situation rather than ameliorate it. Change your attitude to life and always declare positive things to your life, what you say is what you get. Always rejoice and be glad everyday of your life. Expect the best today. This is your day!
A life of complaining is the ultimate guarantee for failure. Don’t complain, things are not always as bad as they seem. When you see other people’s situation, you can’t but give thanks to God. The more you complain, the more worried you get and the more discouraged you get. Brace up and face life.

STAY INSPIRED!

What makes you happy?

As i was about to sleep yesternight, some thoughts of events that happened yesteryears kept creeping into my head that i really need to share with you guys.I remembered how i excited and happy i was when i was when i "graduated" from secondary school, how i thought that i had conqured the whole world, how high my shoulders were cos i passed the almighty "WAEC".I also moved down memory lane on how i felt the first time i drove a car (a volkswagen beetle at that),and the thought that i would soon become the happiest guy when i get into an higher institution, thought of how happy i would also become when i eventually graduate, start work, meet my dream woman, ride my dream car and all of that.I can tell you from experience that there is really no "point of happiness".
Happiness seems to be the single thread that ties many people
together because everyone seeks happiness at some point in their
life. Happiness is not elusive, yet it seems that many people have
trouble knowing what happiness truly is, or how to find it for
themselves.

Happiness is defined as a state of well-being characterized by
emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. Let me break down
this definition to get a clearer picture of exactly what happiness
is...

First, take note that happiness is defined by your emotions. Let
that thought soak in for a minute. Now read it again: Happiness is
defined by your emotions. That means you can choose to be happy, or
not. Happiness is clearly and solely dependent upon your attitude
and thoughts.

Your emotion, ranging from contentment to joy, is what defines
that feeling of happiness you can experience. Contentment is simply
being happy with your lot in life. If you are crippled, but can
accept your handicap as the way it was meant to be, you will
experience happiness every day. But if you look at your handicap as
a negative attribute that hinders you from living your life to its
fullest, then you'll be miserable every single day.

Your attitude defines your happiness...or unhappiness.

The secret of happiness doesn't lie in having all the things you
think you need. Many people say that if they just had a couple more
thousand naira, or a bigger house, or an oil company job or a more beautiful wife, then their
life would be better and they would be happier. Happiness is now and not tomorrow.

The truth is, no matter how much physical possessions you own,
those things can never define your happiness. You must reach deep
within yourself and become content with your life as it is. That is
when you'll learn the true secret of happiness.I'll also like to conclude this piece by saying that God is the true source of happiness.Always aspire to STAY INSPIRED!
